Items that will be accepted include the following:

  • All Over the Counter Medications
  • Vitamins and Supplements
  • Prescription medication
  • Liquid medications in leak-proof containers
  • Syringes
  • Any Medicated Ointments and Creams
  • And all other unwanted medications
  • Do not bring aerosol cans or used needles

You can remain anonymous and no questions will be asked when the items are dropped off.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has a permanent drop-off location in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office that is open during normal operating hours and after one year of operation more than 415 pounds of medications have been dropped off.

The program is being offered on a weekend so residents who can’t make it during the week will have a change to discard unwanted medications.
