Investigators from the Burke, Catawba, and Lincoln county Sheriff's Offices are working a theft case that spans their three counties.
Tuesday morning, the Burke County Sheriff's office responded to Tom Smith Avenue in Connelly Springs in reference to a stolen Polaris 4-wheeler.
The victim told deputies the 4-wheeler had been stored beside the home, under a carport.
Detectives followed up several leads and suspect information. They received information leading them them to a home in the 4000 block of Cat Square Road in Vale, which is in Catawba County.
Investigators went to the Vale home and spoke to Summer and Johnny Hull. The duo denied any involvement in the theft, but refused to allow detectives to search the property.
Detectives left the home and obtained a search warrant, which was served early Wednesday morning with the Catawba County Sheriff's Office assisting.
While serving the search warrant, detectives say they located the stolen 4-wheeler from Burke County, and another 4-wheeler which was reported stolen in Lincoln County within the last week.
Both 4-wheelers were turned over to the owners.
Summer and Johnny Hull were arrested and charged with Felony Receiving Stolen Goods, and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods. Each was placed under a $2,000 secured bond.
Detectives say the investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
