Investigators: Marijuana grow operation found in mobile home

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators and patrol deputies executed a search warrant late Wednesday night at a mobile home on Lawhorn Lane.

Investigators say they found an extravagant grow operation and just over seven pounds of marijuana at the home.

Narcotics investigators began working on locating the operation after receiving information and tips on the Narcotics Tip Line that an unknown white male was growing marijuana at a residence off Mack Ballard Road.

Three-month long surveillance and tips led officers to the residence and gave them probable cause to secure the search warrant.

Investigators say the walls had been gutted from inside the residence and the extravagant grow operation set up.

They seized the operation equipment, 18 marijuana plants, and an additional batch of harvested marijuana weighing seven and a half pounds. The street value of the marijuana was estimated at $8,000 to $15,000 depending on how its packaged.

Raymond William Taylor, 66, of 5230 Lawhorn Lane, Denver was arrested and charged with one felony count each of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance, Schedule VI,  Manufacturing a Controlled Substance Schedule VI and Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle for a Controlled Substance.

He was also charged with misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Taylor is in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
