The Touring Theater of North Carolina is presenting its production of The Life and Times of Fannie Lou Hamer.
Presented on a bare stage with minimal props, the drama conveys the story of a Mississippi sharecropper who rose to national prominence as a civil rights activist dedicated, among other causes, to register black voters.
Theater-goers can catch the show at the Lincoln Cultural Center, located at 403 East Main Street in Lincolnton, Saturday February 16, at 7 p.m.
Admission ranges from $8 to $10, and the play is open to the public.
