LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV)- Quick response by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputies to a suspicious person call on Highway 182 led to the arrest of the man inside the Golden Shears Hair and Tanning Salon early Sunday morning.
Deputies received the call and Deputy Daniel Richard was nearby on Hilltop Road, according to a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
He pulled his patrol car in front of the business while Sgt. Kenneth Hoover and Deputy Barry Holt stopped behind the building.
Deputy Richard saw an individual moving around inside looking for an escape route. The suspect opened the backdoor and exited into the hands of the waiting deputies. Entry into the building was made by breaking a window in the front door.
Officers arrested Michael Lee Sigmon, 40, of Lincolnton, on one felony count of Breaking and Entering and one misdemeanor count of Vandalism-Injury to Real Property.
Following a first appearance hearing today, Sigmon remains in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
