Lincoln Co. man charged with child sexual assault | News

LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV)- Detectives with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office have charged a northern Lincoln County man with child sexual assault charges.

Peter Edmayrd Jay III, 22, turned himself in at the Lincoln County Magistrate's Office on Monday, deputies said.

Jay, who is an acquaintance of the family of the 14-year-old female victim, is said to have inappropriately touched the girl at his home sometime between July 1, and August 25, of this year, the report states.

He was charged with one felony count of taking indecent liberties with a child. He was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
